Metal Pool Shell

Metal pool repair is a specialty industry which involves metal pools commonly found in elevated or rooftop installations, condos, and hotels. Virtually all metal surfaces manufactured for use in swimming pools have a protective barrier placed on the outside as protection against surface deterioration, as pool water is highly corrosive. The longevity of the metal pool depends on the stability and presence of the protective barrier coating. When that protective barrier is worn away or scratched, the exposed metal becomes vulnerable to corrosion and oxidation.

Metal corrodes underground, as well, especially if the surrounding soil maintains regular moisture levels.

INTER-GLASS® replaces the protective barrier over the metal pool surface, effectively protecting it from the corrosive properties of pool water. This is due to the combination of layered resins and fabrics that are hand applied to the pool shell during the INTER-GLASS® process bonding it to the existing shell, becoming a part of the pools structure.

INTER-GLASS® is a non-porous surface, preventing moisture and condensation from forming between the shell of the pool and the surface. Not only does prevent corrosion, INTER-GLASS® also provides a durable crack, leak, and puncture-proof surface that offers decades of service backed by our twenty-five-year warranty.
