Plaster & Cement-Based Surfaces

Re-plastering is the most economical pool resurfacing option we offer. Cement-based surfaces can be applied in white along with a wide variety of different colors. In addition to plaster, we offer aggregate products such as SunStone, Pebblecrete, Diamond Brite, and River Rok. These surfaces come with a limited 5 year warranty.

Our skilled tradesmen use the traditional method of hand applying two coats of the cement-based mixture, working the material to create a smooth surface at the ideal thickness. This flat, smooth finish provides the water-tightness needed for a perfect swimming pool surface.

Cement-based surfaces are not prone to flaking, peeling, or chalking like swimming pool paints. However, pool water chemical balance is very important to maintain the look and texture of these pool surfaces.

Surface preparation is the most important phase of the plastering process, assuring good adhesion of the plaster to the pool base. This is done by 40,000 PSI ultra-high-pressure water jetting, called Hydro-Blasting, removing all layers of paint-coatings and deteriorated materials.

Fun fact: Did you know that cement-based plaster has been used in water containment systems for centuries? The Romans were among the first, using plaster to line their pools and aqueduct systems.
