Residential Pool

Lee’s Summit, MO
Complete Renovation from
Vinyl Liner Pool

PROJECT ASSESSMENT

This residential project was a complete renovation! The pool had a vinyl liner which was failing in places and the owners wanted to convert to our long-lasting INTER-GLASS surface. They also wanted to convert the corner spa into a sunshelf, replace the cracking concrete deck around the pool, replace the stone coping, and add waterline tile. The auto-pool cover was no longer working and the owners wanted something less obtrusive. The result would be a pool area that looked and felt better than before and wouldn’t need any extensive repairs for a long time!

RENOVATION PLAN

As always, the first step is demo! This consisted of removing the vinyl liner and coping along with the walls and interior of the spa to create the sunshelf. Gravel was laid and forms were set for the new concrete floor which was then poured in place.
The next step in the project was setting the new ceramic waterline tile and stone coping around the pool perimeter, while making sure to leave space for the new auto-pool cover that would be installed later.
Due to the deteriorated state of the existing deck, it was best to fully remove it. A new deck was poured in place, and we applied our Texture Dek deck topping.
Finally, it was time for the new pool surface. We reinforced the concrete and INTER-GLASS was applied.
Once the slide was re-installed and the new pool cover was in place we set the final coping stones over the auto-cover.
