Mid-America Pool Renovation was called in to save a “Shot-crete Job Gone Wrong” in Grant City after a previous contractor left the municipal pool in a state of disastrous incompletion. The prior attempt suffered from underestimated materials, rampant settlement cracks due to an overly wet mix, and rough, unfinished walls. We have performed a structural pool rescue and reconstruction to correct these structural failures and provide the city with a smooth, professional-grade facility.
The mission was to rescue the stalled project, finish unfinished concrete walls and steps, and permanently seal rampant settlement cracks throughout the floor.
To overcome the irregularities of multiple sectional pours, the city selected Crack Repair using the InterSteel method and the INTER-GLASS® Surface System.
The original reconstruction attempt failed when concrete delivery delays led to poor placement and a final surface so rough it was unusable.
