Mid-America Pool Renovation completed a specialized renovation project of an indoor swimming pool in 2008 at Southwestern Oklahoma State University. The pool was experiencing persistent leakage and surface deterioration but required a cost-conscious solution that avoided full circulation replacement or complete interior resurfacing.
The primary objective was to eliminate water loss from 16 failing inlet fittings and restore a clean, reflective finish to the heavily stained, fully tiled interior.
A targeted, phased approach was chosen, focusing on replacing deteriorated inlet fittings, repairing plumbing transitions, and restoring the integrity of the existing tile surface without the need for a full interior replacement
Rusted cast-iron and brass fittings, combined with degraded grout joints, had left the pool surface looking dull and brownish while causing significant daily water loss.
