Mid-America Pool Renovation performed a specialized Hydro-Blasting prep and structural restoration on the perimeter gutter system at Barlow Mountain School, which was discovered to be in a state of severe failure. Initially identified during a random inspection while resurfacing the main pool, the 260-foot concrete gutter channel had deteriorated to the point of looking like a hydrogen-sulfide-damaged wastewater tank.
The primary objective was to extend the life of the existing gutter channel by sealing deep cracks, filling structural voids, and protecting reinforcement steel from further corrosion.
Working with town engineers, Mid-America utilized a wastewater-grade repair system and complete pool renovation techniques to provide a durable, chemical-resistant barrier for the concrete walls.
The Town of Ridgefield required a high-performance solution that fit within a limited budget to avoid the massive expense of a full structural replacement.
